The West Indian allrounder was stationed on the boundary on the off-side when he made a desperate dive to prevent a cut shot from the Scorchers’ Michael Klinger from going for four.
The 33-year-old, who has represented his country 66 times in T20 internationals, immediately reached for his hamstring after the incident before being treated and escorted from the ground on a Medicab.

He will have scans on the injury on Friday to determine the severity of the injury.
Bravo is in his fourth season at the Renegades after a stint with the Sydney Sixers.
With the Renegades chasing just their second finals appearance since the inception of the BBL, Bravo’s injury could hamper the progress of one of the pre-tournament title fancies.
Earlier, Bravo made 23 off 18 balls as the Renegades reached 8-148 from their 20 overs.
The aggressive Bravo made 201 runs at 50.25, with a best of 59 not out, for the Renegades in BBL|05. He also grabbed six wickets at 42.33 apiece.
Bravo is also the man behind the catchy Zooper Dooper 'Champion' advertising campaign, which saw him rework the song he and his West Indian teammates made famous in the World T20 earlier this year in India.
